Zombies be gone

At the moment, one of the things that I'm doing is learning how to learn. And whoever said that you can't teach a old dog new tricks! I'm now understanding what happens in our brains while studying and using this knowledge to improve my learning potential. So far, I've found out about alternating between focus and diffuse methods, seeing the bigger picture, the Pomodoro technique - to focus on tasks in short, manageable bursts. Revisiting and recalling, and also recognising habits when encountering procrastination and overcoming them (look out for the cue, the routine, the reward and the belief) and lastly, organising your tasks the night before so you can mentally start digesting what coming up. The next parts of the course will feature long term memory and some more learning techniques. Highly recommend the course, which is free unless you want certification!
